Timothy Scherman, the President of the Elizabeth Oakes Smith Society, will introduce you to Elizabeth Oakes Smith, one of the most well-recognized, widely published and eventually even notorious figures of the 19th century. Enjoy live readings derived from her diary, and then cross the street to the Lakeview Cemetery for a look at Oakes Smith's gravesite.
