It is the Summer of 1963 and the height of the civil rights movement. The Watsons, an African American family, on a trip from their home in Flint, Michigan to their grandmother’s in Alabama, find themselves caught up in something that will change their lives and their country forever.  A humorous, poignant story based on the best-selling book by Christopher Paul Curtis.
