Bring your broken items and get them fixed with the help of our expert volunteers, and learn how it is done! Registration is encouraged, but not required. If you would like to volunteer to repair items, please contact us at communityengagement@pmlib.org.

Volunteer repair experts will be available to help make repairs free of charge. Tools and materials will also be on hand. Bring along your broken items from home, such as toasters, lamps, hair dryers, clothes, bikes, toys, crockery, etc.

During the Revolutionary War, the British occupied Long Island for 7 years, longer than any other region in North America. Many inhabitants feigned loyalty to the Crown while quietly sustaining patriot networks, hiding supplies, passing intelligence, & protecting neighbors under suspicion. Their experience reveals a side of the Revolution that is often overlooked: living under enemy control.
