Early Spring Family Bird Hike (Offsite)

Observación de aves en familia a principios de primavera

For families with children in grades K-6. Learn about birds in the refuge as we hike the trails. *This program takes place at Wertheim National Refuge in Shirley.

After an introduction at the Refuge Visitor Center, we will join Byron Young of Eastern Audubon Society to walk a trail (approx. 1 mile.)  Besides the plants, trees, and insects, we should see many different species of birds—maybe even osprey, eagles, and songbirds.  See how many you can spot! Bring binoculars if you have them; dress for the weather and wear proper footwear.  Program will take place off-site at Wertheim National Refuge in Shirley.

Aprenda sobre las aves del refugio mientras recorremos los senderos. *Este programa tiene lugar en el Refugio Nacional Wertheim en Shirley. Tras una introducción en el Centro de Visitantes del Refugio, nos reuniremos con Byron Young, de la Eastern Audubon Society, para recorrer un sendero (aproximadamente 1 milla). Además de plantas, árboles e insectos, deberíamos ver muchas especies diferentes de aves, quizá incluso águilas pescadoras, águilas reales y pájaros cantores. A ver cuántas ves. Traiga prismáticos si los tiene; vístase para el tiempo que haga y lleve calzado adecuado. El programa tendrá lugar fuera de las instalaciones del Refugio Nacional Wertheim en Shirley.
