Join architectural historian and preservationist Jane Cowan for an armchair expedition to this dynamic destination. This program is co-sponsored by the Greater Patchogue Historical Society. Attend in person or online.

Explore the history of the High Line: its construction as a freight rail viaduct in the 1930s, and its decline, near demolition and improbable rescue from the scrap heap. The development of High Line Park served as a catalyst for the transformation of the West Side of Manhattan and today is one of NYC's top tourist attractions.
