Students from the Patchogue-Medford School District were awarded an Agriculture in the Classroom grant. Meet with students to learn about the important role native pollinator plants play in supporting our local ecosystem and pick up some FREE native seeds!
Students from the Patchogue-Medford Climate Action Club and the Oregon Environmental Club were awarded a 2026 Agriculture in the Classroom grant from the Suffolk County Soil and Water Conservation District for their Sowing the Seeds of Change for the Patchogue-Medford Community project to spread the word about the important role native pollinator plants play in supporting our local ecosystem. As part of this project, students will be partnering with the Patchogue-Medford Library's Seed Lending Library to help distribute native pollinator seeds and help educate the community just in time for winter sowing. Meet with students anytime between 2:00-4:00PM.
