Professor Lisa Dresner from Hofstra University will touch on some important moments in LGBTQ+ history in America.
From the 1920s to the present, Professor Dresner will cover notable figures from the Harlem Renaissance, LGBTQ+ service members in WWII, the Mattachine Society & Daughters of Bilitis, queer pulp fiction, the protests at Cooper's Donuts, Compton's Cafeteria, and the Stonewall Inn, ballroom culture, the AIDS crisis, & recent Supreme Court Decisions.
